Kupwara, May 16: District Magistrate Kupwara Imam-ud-Din has ordered for extension of already in place Corona Curfew up to May 24 with subtle modifications to facilitate local populace in the frontier district.
An Order in this regard, states that “In continuation to this office Order No:- DCK/Ps/2021/04/3071-80 Dated:-09-05-2021 and in exercise of powers vested in me under Section 144 Cr.PC and Section 34 of Disaster Management Act, I Imam Din (KAS) District Magistrate Kupwara do hereby order that restrictions on account of Corona Curfew already in place shall continue to remain in force up to 24-05-2021 till 7:00 AM.”
The modifications in contrast to the already in place restrictions include that the Shops associated with Milk and Dairy products; Vendors with Fruits and vegetables and Meat, Chicken Shops, will remain open on Sunday from 7 AM – 10 AM, subject to strict adherence to COVID-appropriate behavior.
The rest terms and conditions as laid down in the aforesaid (implemented) order shall remain the same, it further states. (GNS)
