Srinagar Jan 24 2021: Rights Activist Rasikh Rasool has filled a complaint in National Human Rights Commission seeking action against negligent public authorities responsible for death of the two stranded passengers of Kupwara District at Banihal area of Ramban District due to closer of Jammu- Srinagar National Highway.
In his complaint, Rasikh Rasool, on Sunday which was received by NHRC castigated the J&K Government and demanded that negligent public authorities may kindly be identified so tht proper action should be initiated against them and proper relief should be provided to Next of Kins as immediately as possible
Rasikh Rasool in his complaint stated that “This incident is clearly indicating carelessness from the part of Jammu and Kashmir Government as human lives are seemingly put on risk because no proper assistance and necessary items like blankets etc were provided to strandered passengers/drivers.
