KUPWARA, APRIL 25: District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse today chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee (DLC) to discuss the formulation of project proposals under Vibrant Villages Programme–II.
During the meeting, a comprehensive review of the ongoing planning process was undertaken, with a focus on identifying critical gaps in infrastructure and essential services in the designated villages. The DDC emphasized the need for a coordinated and result-oriented approach among all departments to ensure timely and effective implementation of the programme.
The officers were directed to ensure submission of their proposals by the 30th of this month. Stressing adherence to timelines, the DDC instructed all line departments to prepare detailed, need-based proposals reflecting ground realities and prioritizing sustainable development.
It was given out that cent percent saturation of amenities like electricity, mobile network, road connectivity, and television services has to be ensured in the identified vibrant villages of the district. The meeting also highlighted the importance of improving healthcare, education, livelihood opportunities, and digital connectivity to enhance the overall quality of life of the residents.
The DDC further urged officers to maintain close coordination with field functionaries and local stakeholders to ensure that the benefits of the programme reach the intended population in a transparent and efficient manner.
