Asks engineers to maintain quality, quantity of works
KUPWARA, JANUARY 03: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Imam Din today took a detailed review of various ongoing works of R&B and PHE departments.
The meeting was informed that 72 works of R&B department under District CAPEX have been approved at a cost of Rs. 255 lakh, of which 24 works stands completed. Besides, under Languishing Programme, 28 works were approved at a cost of Rs.66.77 crore, out of which 13 works have been completed yet. It was informed that rest of the works will be completed by March this year.
In a separate meeting, the DDC took a detailed review of ongoing works of PHE Division Handwara.
It was informed that 08 works under District CAPEX have been approved at a cost of Rs. 30 lakh. It was also informed that 38 schemes under Languishing Programme were approved at a cost of Rs. 94.27 crore. Of which, 05 schemes will be completed by March 2021, 06 schemes till ending June this year and rest have to be completed upto March next year.
The DDC directed the concerned engineers to ensure timely completion of the ongoing works. He directed the concerned Executive Engineers to personally inspect and check the works in the ground physically to ensure maintenance of quality as well as quantity of them.
Among others, JD Planning, Executive Engineers of PHE Division Handwara, R&B, concerned AEEs and other concerned attended the meeting.
