Inspects Isolation Ward established for prevention of Coronavirus at SDH Langate
Kupwara, March 11: The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg today visited various areas of Langate constituency and chaired two separate Public Interaction Programmes at Langate and Manzpora Qalamabad. Additional District Development Commissioner(ADDC), Mohammad Ashraf Bhat; Additional Deputy Commissioner(ADC) Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir, Assistant Commissioner Development(ACD) , concerned BDOs, BDCs, PRI Representatives besides a huge public gathering participated in the interaction programme.
The people from the concerned areas apprised the DDC about the developmental issues and problems being faced by them. At Manzpora, public representatives including Block Development Chairperson (BDC), Tahir Ahmad Mir raised various demands before the DDC which include upgradation of Receiving Station, macadamization of Chotipora-Mawar road and construction of filtration plant. At Langate, various public representatives including members of Municipal Committee Langate and BDC chairperson, Showkat Pandit put forth various issues faced by people of the area. They demanded macadamization of inner links besides, issues related to electricity supply, roads were also raised during the public interaction.
On the occasion, DDC passed on various directions to the concerned heads of the departments for resolution of the genuine public demands. He said that the District Administration is committed in reaching out to the people of all corners of the district for delivering good governance at their doorsteps by way of such Public Outreach Programmes. During the interaction programmes, DDC assured the people that all their genuine demands and developmental issues will be resolved. He advised the people to avail benefits under various public welfare government sponsored schemes. He directed the concerned officers to prioritize the execution of public welfare plans.
The DDC directed Executive Engineer R&B and BDO concerned for closely monitoring the ongoing works in the area for their timely completion. He asked the concerned PDD authorities to submit the utilization certificates of the completed works under Back to Village Programme. The concerned Agriculture authorities were directed to speed up the enrollment process of farmers under PM Kissan scheme so that they can be benefitted. Meanwhile, the DDC visited Sub District Hospital Langate wherein he inspected Isolation Ward established recently in view of preventive measures against Novel Coronavirus. He also inspected Maternity ward, USG, IPD and OPD sections of the hospital.
The DDC directed the concerned BMO for maintenance of proper hygiene and sanitation in the hospital.
