KUPWARA, DECEMBER 31: District Development Commissioner(DDC), Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray today chaired the meeting of DLRC / DCC organised by District Lead Bank Office Kupwara, here.
Addressing the meeting, the DDC who is also Chairman of District Level Review Committee, advised all the banks and the sponsoring agencies to work with cooperation, coordination, and cohesion to achieve the goals and targets of development & progress besides generation of employment for unemployed youth of the district. He also directed all departments and banks to conduct awareness programmes at village/block levels to generate proper awareness about the schemes among the people. He said employment generation for youth is the top most priority of the Government and urged upon the sponsoring agencies and banks to work with added dedication for the betterment of youth.
While highlighting the overall performance for 2nd quarter, the Lead District Manager, Kupwara, Mehboob Ellahi Khan informed the house about the achievements of the banks and said that under priority sector advances were to the tune of ₹377.79 Crores against target of ₹1574.99 for 2nd quarter 2022-23 which constitutes 24% while as under non-priority sector the achievements are to the tune of ₹561.32 Crores against target of ₹226.09 Crores which constitutes 248%.
He said the deposits of the banks in the District were to the tune of ₹2896 Crores as on 30.09.2022 compared to ₹2810 Crores as on 30.09.2021 thereby registering an increase of ₹86 Crores constituting 3%. The advances of the banks stood at ₹3722 Crores as on 30.09.2022 against ₹3213 Crores as on 30.09.2021 thereby registering an increase of ₹509 Crores which works out to 16%. The CD ratio of the District as on 30.09-2022 stood at 129%
He further informed that that Rs. 895 crore have been disbursed by the banks amongst 45462 beneficiaries under PM Mudra Yojana Scheme with J & K Bank being main contributor with 85% credit disbursement.
The meeting was informed that the district has already sanctioned 3051 cases under various govt sponsored schemes & disbursed Rs.77.02 Crore among the beneficiaries.
The meeting was attended by representatives of banks and line Departments of the district.
