KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 20: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din today convened a meeting with Principals of Degree Colleges and Higher Secondary Schools of Kupwara district to discuss the operation of educational institutions and implementation of COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB). The Deputy Commissioner asked all principals to ensure strict implementation of CAB in all educational institutions including maintaining of social distance, usage of masks and sanitizers. He stressed for constitution of teams who will formally make periodical inspection of the institutions to ensure the proper implementation of CAB. The Deputy Commissioner said that all principals and wardens should play their active role to keep the institutions functional while following COVID SOPs in letter and spirit. He said all heads of the institutions should certify and give proper data regarding the vaccination of students to the Chief Medical Officer and concerned BMOs. He directed for holding of vaccination camps in the institutions. He also stressed for holding camps for sampling to be carried out on every 10th day in each institution. On the occasion, Chief Medical Officer stressed upon the heads of the institutions to ensure proper isolation of students if they found symptoms like fever or cold, he should be isolated and the concerned BMO should be informed immediately to avoid any spread of the virus. Among others, Chief Medical Officer Kupwara, Tehsildar, DIO and other concerned attended the meeting.
