Kupwara, Oct 12, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan (IAS) on Thursday inaugurated Mega Ayush Health Awareness Medical camp at Govt. Ayush Dispensary, Kralpora (Kupwara) under Ayushman Bhava.
The Mega Health camp witnessed massive response from Patients from Kralpora and its peripheral villages where hundreds of patients swarmed the camp to consult Ayush specialists.
This Ayush Camp was unique of its kind in which, free registrations, Free NCD screening, Counseling, Yoga session for visitors, free general/specialized consultations, free Ayush therapies and free medicines were provided to patients suffering from health issues.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commisioner said that it is necessary to organize Health camps to connect the general public with health services and to educate the public about the beneficial schemes of the health department.
She said, it should be our endeavor that the benefits of the schemes run by the government should reach the last beneficiary living in remote areas. She said that people should be health conscious and get their tests done in time and get treated.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC laid emphasis on ensuring screening of NCDS and taking it to the door step of every household.
District Ayush Officer Kupwara, Dr. Raja Amjad Ali Khan apprised the Deputy Commissioner that Construction of Ayush Dispensary at Kralpora has been approved under National Health Mission and the work has been tendered out with a project cost of Rs. 30.00 lakhs and Ayush Building, Yoga Hall, a Lab and an IT Room will be constructed.
The Deputy Commisioner directed the executing agency ( R&B) to speed up the construction of Ayush Dispensary so that it is completed within stipulated time.
Ayushi Sudan also inspected various sections of the Ayush Dispensary and interacted with the patients and doctors and enquired about the facilities available for the patients.
DDC Member, Kralpora Adv. Masrat, District Ayush Officer Kupwara, BMO Kralpora, SHO Kralpora , other Officers, doctors and Para Medical staff of Govt. Ayush Dispensary Kralpora were present on the occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner later visited the Khargund village where she inspected work on under construction 15- mtr. Span bridge at Khargund on Nallah Hud which is being constructed by R&B Department under ADF (PRIs) with a project cost of Rs. 90.00 lakhs.
