DC Kupwara held interactive session with Hoteliers,Transporters, Tour operators

Says efforts are on to boost tourism sector in district


KUPWARA, MARCH 29: Deputy commissioner(DC) Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray today held an interactive session with hoteliers, transporters and leading Travel and Tour Operators to take stock of accomodation, transport facilities and exploring of off-beat tourist destinations of Kupwara district for upcomming tourism season in Kupwara district.
             A detailed  power point  presentation (PPT) showcasing Unseen Kashmir -Bungas, Keran, Teetwal, Lolab and Kupwara was presented.
The PPT showed availability of accomodation facilities, cleanliness, Hygiene at different locations of Kupwara district.
      The interactive session was attended by  Travel Operators which included Zelam Amit Chaubal; Chairperson, Keseri Tours & Travels, Pune, Vandana Shailesh, Abhimanya Nawal, Farooq Ahmad, Executive Engineer Lolab-Bungas,Drangyadi Development Authority(LBDDA), Shamim Ahmad Pir; President Hotel Owners Association Kupwara, Showkat Ahmad Mir; President Sumo-stand Kupwara and other travel and  tourism representatives.
       During the interactive session, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara welcomed  the representatives of Keseri Tours and Travels for showing interest in sending tourists to off-beat tourist destinations of Kupwara district.
       The Deputy Commisioner apprised the travel trade representatives about the  steps taken by the District administration Kupwara  for a comfortable and safe stay of tourists in Kupwara district.
          The Deputy Commisioner while highlighting the prospects of tourist season in Kupwara district  said that the divine beauty and enticing sceneries  of different off-beat destinations in Kupwara district will  surely make everyone to fall in love with these tourist destinations.
         The DC said  that various new and innovative schemes are being implemented to boost the tourism sector in the district and hoped that in coming time Kupwara district would be best tourist destination where not only local but national and international tourists also visit.
      On the ocasion, Executive engineer LBDDA told Tour &Travel operators that different tourist destinations of Kupwara district not only offer amazing views but people can enjoy their holidays with families and friends by indulging in Trecking, fishing, hiking, boating, Zorbing,camping, snow-biking.
Executive officer said that Bungas valley, Lolab, Satburn, Chandigam, Drangyadi, Sadna Top, Karnah, Teetwal, Rishwadi, Machil and Keran  has really interesting ecological areas surrounded by green grasslands, green meadows and springs,  rolling mountain peaks.
On the ocasion, Zelam Amit Chaubal; Chairperson Keseri Tours and travels said that due care should be taken to preserve ecosystem, natural habitat while  planning the tourism activities in off- beat tourist destinations of Kupwara district. She said while adding that tourists from different states of country look for proper accomodation, good food  and trained guide facilities,and to give flip to tourism activities these facilities should be increased.
