KUPWARA, JUNE 27 : Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Ansul Garg today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of execution work of Community bunkers in border Machil and Keran tehsils of Kupwara district. He was informed that 50 community bunkers, 30 in Machil and 20 in Keran tehsils are being constructed for the safety of the border people. He was informed that work is apace on 10 bunkers in Machil and 7 bunkers in keran area of Kupwara district.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned executing agencies to speed up the construction of community bunkers in these areas.He gave a time line of July 31 for completion of all 50 community bunkers in these areas . Deputy Commissioner asked officers that he will personally visit Machil and Keran areas in the first week of July to review the pace of progress of bunkers and development scenario of these border areas.
The meeting was attended by Executive Engineer, R and B, Block Development Officers of Machil and keran, DIO and other concerned officers.
