Kupwara, March 7, The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan today felicitated innovative, technically empowered progressive farmers for their contribution in agriculture & allied sectors at Kupwara.
In an impressive and well attended function at Town Hall Kupwara, the Deputy Commissioner, in recognition to dedication, Passion and commitment of progressive farmers for development of agriculture and it’s allied sectors in the district, presented the mementoes and appreciation certificates to them.
Progressive farmers who were felicitated include NRLM Group Head, Ms. Atiqa D/O Mohammad Ramzan hailing from Tarathpora and Mohammd Ashraf War resident of Lawoosa Mawar.
Atiqa was honored for her contribution in Mushroom Cultivation, organic farming and producing of high yielding vegetable seedlings
She along with her other group members have taken benefit of HADP and established 5 poly-green houses with tubular structures and one high tech playhouse at Tarathpora.
Similarly, Mohammad Ashraf War has established a Trout unit at Lawoosa under PMMSY.
Deputy Commissioner complimented the agri-prenures for their immense contribution in agriculture and allied sectors. She said that progressive farmers encourage others to take up farming on modern lines and earn a respectable income.
ADC Kupwara, Muhammad Rouf Rehman and other district level officers were present on the occasion.
