DC Kupwara chairs Revenue Conference


Stresses for timely resolution of public grievance



KUPWARA, MARCH 18:  District Administration, Kupwara today organized a day long Revenue Conference, at Town Hall, here.
      Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Imam Din  chaired the Conference,  while as Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Bashir Ahmad Bhat, SDM Lolab, DFO kamraj, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, Girdawars and Patwaries of the district attended the Conference.           
       Addressing the conference, the Deputy Commissioner said that the objective of holding Revenue Conference was to equip the Revenue Officers and Officials with latest Revenue Laws and Amendments so that the people at large could get benefited. He asked them to update knowledge regarding their powers, duties and responsibilities, besides, revenue matters.
         Deputy Commissioner stressed upon them to work with utmost dedication, honesty and ensure timely disposal of every matter reach them religiously. He said Revenue Department was know as mother department and we all need to restore its pristine glory by our honest efforts in  resolving public issues. He directed them to get proper know how and knowledge of Public Services Guarantee Act and ensure resolution of public grievance.
           Deputy Commissioner directed Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars to utilise powers as envisaged under PSGA and ensure timely redressal of public grievance, adding that the file which can be disposed of at Naib Tehsildar Level, should not come  to higher authorities,  till not required.
    “The officials/ Officers who prove themselves as better service providers to public in district Kupwara shall be recommended for awards”, said Deputy Commissioner Imam Din, adding that this will introduce a sense of competition in good doing.
        Deputy Commissioner applauded one Tehsildar for issuing 125 certificates on spot at a grievance redressal camp. He stressed upon the concerned to follow the same attitude to serve the public.
           The Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Bashir Ahmad Bhat also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the responsibilities of Revenue Officials.
         The DFO, Kamraj also spoke and gave detailed information regarding implementation of Forest Rights Act.
       Other speakers including Revenue experts gave detailed awareness about revenue matters including Jamabandi, Girdawari, Fardi-Partal, Akse-Latha and other matters in context of Revenue Conference. 
      Later, the officials and officers of Revenue department were given COVID vaccine by Health Department Kupwara.
