Inward and outward movement restricted
Kupwara :- Anderhama revenue village has been declared as red zone in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district after 1st case tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday .
Invoking prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC, Disaster Management Act and The Epidemic Disease Act, District Magistrate Kupwara said there would be no inward and outward movement of any person from the village declared red zone and the people would stay at their homes to ensure complete lockdown.
In this regard, the District Magistrate on Thursday issued the order according to which, Anderhama Village fall in the red zone category while adjoining village have been declared buffer zones, for the of safety and well-being of general public. The district official said,
“The area has become more vulnerable as far as further transmission of the Covid-19 virus is concerned. It is necessary to break further transmission of the disease in the area and it becomes imperative to take stringent precaution.
ZEO Drugmulla shall act as administrators for red and buffer zones declared in their respective jurisdictions as indicated above. Further, the administrators shall ensure screening of Households in the Red Zone and furnish information as per the prescribed format and submit the information to this office by 1:00 PM on daily basis, the order reads.
“The Administrators shall be assisted by Concerned BDO and all the officers of the line departments to ensure the availability of basic facilities including food grains, LPG, medicines etc in the red/buffer zones. They shall promptly respond to medical emergencies and the concerned BMO shall dedicate one ambulance each for their respective areas,” the order reads.
Any person/group/organization found involved in the breach of this order shall be booked under relevant laws, the order added.
