COVID-19: Eighteen patients die in J&K, toll reaches 2,215

Srinagar, Apr 28: Eighteen more patients who had tested positive for Coronavirus died since last night, taking fatalities count in Jammu and Kashmir to 2,215.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that 18 patients who died include 75-year-old man from Badamwari, 76-year-old man from Zakura, 58-year-old woman from Balgarden, 60-year-old woman from Chanapora, 75-year-old woman from Nowshera, 62-year-old lady from Nawakadal, 45-year-old man from Palpora, 56-year-old man from Baghat area of Srinagar district, 65-year-old from Kunzar, 70-year-old man from Baramulla, 82-year-old woman from Kishtwar, 65-year-old from Pampore area of Pulwama district, 65-year-old man from Hiller, 67-year-old man from K.P road Anantnag and four patients died in Jammu division.

An official said that 75-year-old man from Badamwari, 76-year-old man from Zakura Srinagar, 65-year-old from Kunzar, 70-year-old man from Baramulla died at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute Of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura and 60-year-old woman from Chanapora died at JVC Hospital Bemina.

He added that 58-year-old female from Balgarden, 56-year-old man from Baghat area of Srinagar district and 82-year-old woman from Kishtwar died at SMHS Hospital Srinagar and 75-year-old woman died at CD Hospital Dalgate.

He further added that a woman from Nawakadal, 45-year-old man from Palpora and 65-year-old male from Pampore died at JLNM Rainawari Srinagar and 65-year-old man from Hiller, 67-year-old man from K.P road died at GMC Anantnag.

Four patients who had tested positive, died in Jammu division since last night, he added.

With 18 more deaths, the death toll due to novel Coronavirus in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir climbs to 2,215 including 848 in Jammu division and 1,367 in Kashmir division.
