Comm Secretary Revenue visits Kupwara districtReviews progress, performance of Revenue department at Kupwara

KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 12: Commissioner Secretary, Revenue, Vijay Kumar Biduri today visited Kupwara district and reviewed the progress and performance of revenue department at an officers meeting held at D.C Office Kupwara.
Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray was present in the meeting, besides, ADDC Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan; ADC Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat; ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir; ACR Kupwara, SDM Karnah, Tehsildars and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
The Commissioner Secretary took a detailed review of the Digitization of Land Records, DILRMP, status of Kahcharai land, eviction of state land, status of girdawaries, status of custodian land, Waqaf Council properties, Public Service Guarantee Act, status of court cases, , SVAMITVA, PM Kissan and received feedback from the officers.
The Commissioner Secretary appreciated the work of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara and his team of revenue officers including Patwaris for registering good progress of digitization of the land record. He said Revenue department always remains connected with the people at ground level and asked officers to utilize their power and resolve the issues of the public. He said God has given us power to serve the public so do the best use of this position. He said from far flung areas do visit to the Tehsil Office and advised officers to attend the public in a friendly manner.
The Commissioner Secretary also reviewed the staff strength position and facilities being provided to the Revenue Officers including accommodation and conveyance.
Deputy Commissioner Kupwara briefed the Commissioner Secretary regarding the performance of the Revenue department in the district. He asked the revenue officers that they are mirrors of Deputy Commissioner at ground and advised them to attend their offices in a responsible manner. He said government is facilitating the department and it is our duty to ensure more delivery at ground level.
Regarding removal of encroachment on state land, the Commissioner Secretary directed the officers to erect a board notifying the state land and capture a picture regularly. Give good publicity of the encroached land so that public can know. He directed for removal of encroachments on major portions especially areas coming under Roshni Act.
