Kupwara,January 20: To support Anganwari Workers & Helpers, who are on Protest from last few days at Kupwara,DDC Member Kalaroos, Chaudhary Mustafa Rahi demanded release of their salaries which is pending from last 10 months.
Chaudhaeyt Mustafa Rahie, elected DDC Member from Kalaroos, today Joined their Protest and staged a sit-in with protesting anganwari employees for an hour.
While talking to Media Persons at the site of protesters, he said that constant delay in the release of their honorarium has made their lives tough and it is very unfortunate that Govt is mute spectator over the issue.
He said that “These are our Mothers, sisters who are working in the department from last many years but are still facing numerous difficulties as they have not received their salaries for ten months and have been forced to hit the street”.
He while condemning the attitude of government, said that on one said Govt is making the tall claims of Women emperment, Nari Saman slogans and on the other side our mothers and sisters on roads in extreme cold demanding to release their salaries but no attention is being paid towards their sufferings and plights.
He has appealed lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha to look into the matter and address the issue swiftly,” so the suffering of our Mothers and sisters could be reduced added Rahie’.
