The current events in Afghanistan panned out very rapidly and today the region has been thrown into a condition of unpredictability and uncertainty. To review such sit in minds of the youths of AOR, debate competition was organised. Debate helps the students in gaining broad, multi-faceted knowledge cutting across various disciplines outside their subjects. It also helps in development of critical thinking skills, increased retention of information and improved speech delivery.
In the ongoing process of outreaching to local population in general and youth in specific, a Debate Competition was org at Chak Kigam camp under the aegis of Charkut Garrisson. Topic selected for the debate was Assessment of current conflict sit of afghanistan and it’s implications for J&K.
Out of total 15 boys and 7 teachers, 8 expressed their views on the topic, seven each in the category of ‘For the Motion’ and ‘Against the Motion’. Participants expressed their views in combination of English, Hindi and Urdu language.
The event was concluded with Prize distribution to best Speaker in both the categories. (CIF (K)/8 SECT RR/47 RR)
