KUPWARA,July 3:Celebrating the festival of bonding’, the soldiers of YAMRAD COB/21 RR/7 SECTOR organised the celebration of ‘Raksha Bandhan here today
With the festive spirit, the ‘Sisters of Awam’ tied Rakhi- The Holy Thread’ on the wrist of ‘Brothers in arms’ and applied vermillion on the foreheads of the soldiers. The festive colours were on full display with men in olive green and the awam actively taking part in the celebration.
Every year Raksha Bandhan, the festival of brother-sister’s bond is celebrated across the country. Women tie Rakhis and wish for the long and prosperous life of their brothers. On the other hand, brothers promise to stand by their sisters throughout their lives.
The YAMRAB COB’s initiative brought the awam together on this pious occasion with wishes for prosperous times.
