CBJ books JAKFED employees for Misappropriation of Govt. Funds and manipulation of records by misusing official position

Jammu : Crime Branch Jammu registers a criminal case under the relevant sections of law against employees – officers / officials of JAKFED B.C Road, Jammu viz 1) Sanjeev Bhagat, the then Senior Manager Transport JAKFED B.C Road, Jammu (2) Sanjeev Sachdeva, the then Sr. Manager Accounts JAKFED B.C Rad Jammu (3) Mrs. Sudesh Gupta, the then Sr. Manager Accounts JAKFED B.C Road Jammu (4) Ms. Harbans Kour, Jr. Assistant JAKFED B.C Road Jammu (5) Zubair Ahmed Tak, Jr. Assistant JAKFED B.C. Road Jammu (6) Sanjeev Mishra, Store Officer Central Seed Store, Talab Tillo, Jammu, (7) Arvinder Singh, Potato Development Officer, the then Store Officer, Centre Seed Store Talab Tillo Jammu and (8) Uttam Chand, Store Keeper Centre Seed Store, Talab Tillo, Jammu and others for their involvement in manipulating records of freights of transportation of seeds from Agricultural Department Talab Tillo Jammu to various destinations of Jammu Division and embezzling public money thereof.
A written complaint was received in Crime Branch, Jammu wherein complainant namely Sh. Uday Chand, alleged embezzlement of freights with respect to transportation of seeds from Agriculture Department Talab Tillo Jammu to various destinations by officers/officials of Agriculture Department, Talab Tillo, Jammu & JAKFED Department.

On receipt of this complaint a preliminary verification was got conducted and relevant record from the concerned quarters was obtained besides witnesses were examined which substantiated the allegations that the accused in connivance with each other have done dishonest, intentional, deliberate, manipulations and falsification in the records of freights of transportation of seeds from Agricultural Department Talab Tillo Jammu to various destinations of Jammu Division thus have embezzled public money. The omissions and commissions, thereof, on the part of accused prima facie constitute offences punishable u/s 420,477-A RPC.R/W 5(2) PC Act Accordingly, a formal case is registered in P/S Crime Branch, Jammu against the above mentioned accused persons for in depth investigation.
