The saying aptly goes for revered Bollywood director, Onir. This time his visit to Kashmir bore a different perspective. The director saw the endearing bond of an Army Officer, Major Kamlesh Mani and a Kashmiri Kid ,Gawhaar Mir on various social media platforms and personally wanted to meet and feel the supernal bond shared between duo.
On 10 Mar 21 , Onir visited Yamrad camp,21 RR and met Major Kamlesh,Gawhaar and two other officers. Onir had an interactive sesh with Officers and exchaged thoughts on the Army-Awam connect, experiences of Film Direction, rich Kashmiri culture & cuisines over a Cup of Kahwa followed by Wazwan lunch. Lately the director also expressed his willingness to make a short film keeping the beautiful bond of the duo as story line . As a memoir to his visit to the Camp , the Company Commander presented him a momento to cherish his visit to the Camp.
Post lunch, Onir proceeded to Mata Bhadrakali Temple accompanied by Maj Kamlesh. The director was elated to see the tranquility and serene atmosphere of the temple. He sought the blessing of the Almighty and departed with a content heart and soul.
