Army in its continued reachout to its veterans and their dependents, carried out a Vaccination Drive for them in Zilla Sainik Welfare Office, Kupwara .

In combating this deadly virus, vaccine is a potent weapon and as of now all adults above 18 years should get vaccinated to fight against the pandemic which significantly reduces the spread of virus.

428 Field Hospital and Humdard-E-Kupwara Battalion in collaboration with Zilla Sainik Welfare Office, Kupwara worked on the data of veterans for over a week and reached out to them telephonically to spread awareness and invited them for vaccination today. Almost 50 veterans turned out for this drive. Alongwith with Vaccination, a medical camp was also conducted for them with distribution of free medicines . Cases of major ailments were noted for consultancy in future by the doctors. Similar drive was carried out in Trehgam for the veterans on 10 June 2021 wherein 20 veterans were vaccinated.

Veterans thanked VAJR DIVISION and Doctors on Foot Maj Akhil of 428 Field Hospital and Maj Santosh of Humdard-E-Kupwara for the efforts taken by the medical team to reach to them.
