“The true sign of knowledge is not knowledge but Creativity”
To commemorate the International Creativity and Innovation Day 2021, Humdard e Kupwara Battalion today took a small step towards igniting the creative minds of young orphan children of Kupwara.
The Battalion, along with its team of social workers organized Drawing Competition, followed by iftaar e Khaas at Taak Zaingari Orphanage Kupwara.
Bashir Ahmed, President Deaf and Mute Association Kupwara was the guest of honour for the evening and he narrated his experiences in life through translator Ms Niloufer .
The children were delighted to receive drawing material and went all out to express their creative mindswith pencils and colors.
“There could not have been a better day to reach out to these under privileges kids, when they fast all day in anticipation of good food and gifts.” Said Aadil, one of the caretakers at the trust.
A wheel chair and a sewing machines were also distributed to the needy citizens of Kupwara. The recipients thanked the initiative and blessed the unit for their thoughtful deeds.
The program culminated into iftaar with young children breaking the day long fast and offering prayers to thank the almighty for this beautiful evening.
