KUPWARA, MAY 5: Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India who is also Central Prabhari Officer for Kupwara district, Shri Shantmanu, IAS who is on a two day visit to Kupwara district today stressed upon the officers and field functionaries to play proactive role in infrastructure building for which Government of India has been providing huge fund flow.
He was addressing a meeting of District and Sectoral Officers at D.C Office Kupwara convened to review the implementation of schemes under Aspirational District Programme (ADP).
Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din, ADC Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat, JD Planning, Abdul Majeed and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
The Central Prabhari Officer directed the officers to ensure completion of all devlopmental works and implementation of centrally sponsored schemes within the stipulated time frame. He asked officers to be frank enough and honest in giving feedback to the government if there is less scope of implementation of any indicator at ground level. He complimented the achievements
Earlier, the meeting held threadbare discussion and reviewed the developmental scenario of the district with special review of Aspirational District Programme including Health, Education, Agriculture, Financial inclusion and Skill Development, besides, infrastructure building in the district.
Mr. Shantmanu also reviewed the implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes and programmes like Soil Health Cards, Aadhaar Seedling, MUDRA Loan, Self employment schemes, SANKALP etc.
The Central Prabhari Officer took review of all indicators of Aspirational District Programme. He was informed that Kupwara district received PM’s Award of Excellence conferred by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 21st April this year, Kupwara district was conferred gold medal by Union Health Minister on 24th March at New Delhi for achieving more than 60% reduction in TB Notification.
Regarding the utilization of funds, the meeting was informed that the NITI AYOG has released a grant of Rs.3 crore during October 2020 out of which Rs.2.45 crore have been utilized till February 2021 towards implementation of various projects under Health and Nutrition, Education and Skill Development.
Later, Shri Shantmanu, accompanied by DC Kupwara and concerned Officers conducted field visit to personally inspect the progress of developmental indicators.
During the visit, he inspected Health and Wellness Centre Shuloora during which he inspected various sections of the hospital and interacted directly with the senior citizens and patients to get spot feedback. He inspected OPD section, ANC Room, Drug store, Immunization centre, Yoga room and laboratory
On the occasion, he witnessed the treatment through teleconsultation. He was informed that X-Ray tests, BP and Diabetic patients are getting free medicines. He also inspected PHC Trehgam where stalls of JSS, ICDS and Handicrafts were laid for inspection of the Central Prabhari Officer.
During the inspection, he expressed his satisfaction for the proper development of all indicators Aspirational District Programme.
Later, he also briefed the press about his visit and said that he will put up all issues and demands he received as a feedback from the ground level and will project the cases at Central level.
