Kupwara, June 10: As a part of Public Outreach Programme (POP) carried out by District Administration Kupwara, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Mohammad Ashraf Bhat today visited Border Machill Block of Kupwara district. During the visit, the ADDC took stock of developmental scenario, inspected various ongoing works and convened a joint meeting of officers and PRI members.
It was informed that work is apace on Chontiwara-Domal 4.5 kilometre road at a cost of Rs.2 crore; of which Rs.1 crore have been expended so far and 2.5 km road length have been macadamized. While as, during last financial year, Rs.1 crore have been spent on Dapal-Mishribagh 2 Km road stage-II under PMGSY. It was further informed that presently 3 other roads are being maintained by PMGSY.
The ADDC also took stock of ongoing development works being carried out under BADP, MGNREGA. He stressed upon the officers to work with added zeal and ensure that all works taken in hand shall be completed within the target period.
The PRI members projected various issues related to improvement in ration supply, restoration of DG Genset, release of pending payments under MGNREGA and maintenance of Machill-Dudi road. The issues regarding betterment in healthcare facilities were also discussed in the meeting.
The ADDC had a patient hearing and assured necessary support from District Administration. He also resolved various local issues on the spot.
On the occasion, Executive Engineer I&FC, Exen PMGSY Kupwara, Exen REW, SDAO Sogam, BMO Kalarooch, Tehsildar Machill, CDPO Kalarooch and other concerned were accompanied with ADDC.
