Kupwara, Nov 13: The third Phase of the Mega public outreach programme “Back to Village edition 5, (B2V5)” begun in 152 Panchayats of Kupwara district today with villages presenting a festive look, Public enthusiastically participating in the programme and expressing their views and feedback over the work done by the various departments.
Earlier, today the Visiting Officers were overwhelmingly welcomed by people in their Panchayats as the programme is witnessing huge participation of people from all walks of life across the district.
During the Back to village Programme , Gram Sabhas for formulation of GPDP, Public grievances redressal camps, Plantation drive and other activities are being held.
The visiting officers are chairing Gram Sabhas, Bal Sabhas and Mahila Sabhas and administering the pledge to the participants to discourage the drug menace.
Specials Camps are being organised to provide support to specially abled, senior citizens, distributions of certificates like income certificate, Ayushman Bharat Golden Cards, and other certificates in Panchayat Ghars in the district.
Visiting officers are also participating in sports activities, talent hunt programmes, cultural events and youth engagement activities in order to reach out to village population and promote various initiatives like Nasha Mukt Bharat, Swach Gram, promoting self employment schemes etc.
Visiting Officers interact with people and are also inspecting the development works, conducting inspection of CSC Centres, Anganwadi Centres, Schools and generating awareness about online services of the Government.
In addition, the frontline workers, district officers, PRIs including Sarpanchs, Panchs, and locals are taking active participation in the Back to Village Programme.
