Kupwara: The unveiling ceremony of ‘Valley Broadcast’ brainchild of Kupwara-based journalist Dr. Mushtaq Ali Baba, was on Tuesday held at Town Hall Kupwara.
The event was attended by ADC Kupwara, District Information Officer, President Journalists & Writers Association Fayaz Hameed, Former Bar President Adv Majeed, Civil Society Convenor Showkat Masoodi besides an august assembly of journalists and traders.
A group of students enrolled at ALOHA Kupwara, also participated in the ceremony to add to the glory of the event.
The speakers, especially from district administration, congratulated Dr. Mushtaq Ali Baba and his team for the new venture in the field of media. The speakers on the occasion highlighted the role of media in bridging the gap of commoners with the authorities and also its role to bring a positive change in the society.
They also wished the Editor-in-Chief of the magazine all the best for a rich, beneficial and wonderful future.
Editor of the magazine Asif Iqbal has hailed Dr. Mushtaq Ali Baba for the start of a new journey in the field of media.
“Mustering courage to launch a magazine of this level is no small feat that too when the market is already infested with different modes and means of information dissemination – and Mushtaq Sahab truly deserves all the appreciation and accolades for coming together with some good brains to realise this long cherished dream to make his entry to the print media after earning his repute as a celebrated video-journalist”, reads a message by Asif.
“I alongside other team members especially Designer Mir Aasif and Noor Ul Hassan Andrabi, extend heartfelt felicitations to Mushtaq Sahab on achieving this feat and wishing him all the best for the times ahead”, reads the message further.
Presenting a vote of thanks, Editor-in-Chief of the magazine Dr. Mushtaq extended his heartfelt gratitude to all the dignitaries, journalists, students and members of traders’ federation for gracing the event with their benign presence.
Dr. Mushtaq on the occasion assured that the magazine will bring the best possible content for its readers. He asked the writers to contribute with their write-ups and send their feedbacks’ wherever required to make the magazine more beneficial and interesting for the readers.
Notably, the responsibility of anchoring the ceremony was dispensed with by Faizan Qureshi.
