Kupwara, Jul 17 : Two persons have been arrested by police on Saturday for allegedly committing burglary in Kralpora area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district earlier this week.
A police official told GNS that on receiving a complaint from one Gowhar Ahmad Tanzoo, a resident of Dardsun Kralpora into missing of mobile phones and other paraphernalia from his shop on July 14, 2021, a hunt was subsequently launched to catch the burglars.
The team zeroed in and apprehended two persons namely Amir Mohi-ud-Din Mir and Riyaz Ahmad Ganai alias Eifa , both residents of Payerpora Haihama area, the official said adding On confession of the duo, police recovered as many as thirty-six burgled mobile phones from the houses of the two accused persons.
An FIR number 74/2021 under section 457, 380 IPC stands registered at Police Station Kralpora and further proceedings are being initiated in this regard, the official added. (GNS)
