In its continued efforts to reach out to remotest villages and in a quest to empower the youth, especially women, Jan Shikshan Sansthan and Indian Army in a joint and coordinated effort paved way for an Electrician Course at Hayan and a Cutting &Tailoring Course at Babagund of Kunan Poshpora in Trehgam and formally inaugurated them.
The Electrician Course will run for 4 months and will skill 40 boys from the area with a certification from Skill India Mission which will further empower them for self employment. The Cutting and Tailoring course will run similarly for 6 months where in 40 women will be empowered.
While inaugurating the centers Brigadier Manoj Joshi, Hajipir Brigade congratulated the Awam and students for getting such an opportunity in their villages and urged them to exploit it to the fullest. Dr Iqbal, Director, JSS, elaborated on the contours of the courses, future prospects in detail and motivated the instructor and students to follow a disciplined curriculum to make the best out of the courses.
The elected representatives, village elders and parents promised in unison that they would ensure accountability and effective functioning of the centers. Mr Abdullah Mir, BDC, on behalf of the Awam thanked the JSS and Army for their concern in development of the area.
