The incessant rains and snow have led to power supply disrupt and roads blocked; admn must ensure basic facilities: Mohd Shafi mir

Kupwara, 05 Jan 2021: In a statement released to press, District President Kupwara Mir Mohammad Shafi addressed the prevailing climatic conditions as bringing more miseries to the already present in the valley as
heavy snowfall paralysed life in the Kashmir Valley on Tuesday with exams being postponed, educational institutions closed, power supply disrupted and land and air connections to the rest of the country cut off.

All inter-district transport has also been closed, as the administration is yet to deploy snow clearance machines to clear the roads.

Unaware of God’s will, the district administrations are requested to speed up the process of snow clearance by machines ASAP and ensure enough food and medical supply be at the disposal during this winter season.
