Statehood Restoration a Democratic Right of J&K People, Says CM Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani in Kupwara

Kupwara : Reaffirming that the restoration of Jammu & Kashmir’s statehood is the democratic right of its people, Chief Minister’s Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani on Saturday said the mandate given by the people through elections must be respected and honored.

Addressing a gathering after hoisting the National Flag in Kupwara, Wani described the occasion as a matter of pride and stressed that statehood is not merely a political demand but a fundamental right of the people who have actively participated in the democratic process.

He said the elected government remains committed to fulfilling the aspirations of the people and strengthening democratic institutions in Jammu & Kashmir. Wani also highlighted the importance of development, transparency, and good governance, expressing his vision of transforming Kupwara into a model district.

The Advisor reiterated the government’s commitment to serving every citizen with dedication and said the National Flag symbolizes unity, democracy, and the collective aspirations of the people.

The event witnessed enthusiastic public participation, reflecting hopes for peace, progress, and the early restoration of statehood in Jammu & Kashmir.
