Kupwara, July 27: In a significant step towards modernizing rural education infrastructure, a Smart Class facility was today inaugurated at Government Middle School Daril Payeen under the Block Development Office, Tarathpora.
The facility has been executed under the CD & PYTS Scheme for the financial year 2025-26, with an aim to bridge the digital divide in rural schools and provide students with access to modern, technology-driven learning tools.
The Smart Class was formally inaugurated by Dr. Rasiq Hamid (JKAS), Block Development Officer (BDO), Tarathpora, in the presence of school staff, students, and community representatives of the area.
On the occasion, the BDO inspected the newly installed interactive smart board and interacted with the teaching staff regarding its effective integration into the daily academic curriculum. He emphasized that the use of digital learning aids would significantly enhance the quality of education and improve learning outcomes for students in the rural belt.
Speaking on the occasion, the BDO reiterated the commitment of the Block Administration towards strengthening educational infrastructure across the Block and assured continued support for similar developmental initiatives in the future.
The school administration, teaching staff, students, and the local population of the concerned Panchayat expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Rural Development, District Administration Kupwara, and Block Administration Tarathpora for their sustained efforts towards the upliftment of educational facilities in rural areas.
