Sajad Lone Slams Arbitrary Electricity Tariff Hike, Questions Ruling Party’s Intentions

Sajad Lone on X

Phone calls from many villages. They have received electricity bills inflated by 50%.

Please can the ruling party come clean on this electricity mess.

Even I am confused

Did they promise to increase the electricity tariff or decrease it.

OR

Will they resort to the age old trickery, of increasing it and then waiving off part of it and taking the credit for waiver.

The example we low will
Illustrate how.

Say a household is paying 100 Rs as electricity fees.

What is the promise??
Reduce it by 50% and make it 50.

OR

Do they plan to increase it gradually from 100 to 150 and then to 200.
And then give a waiver of 50. So effectively the consumer will pay 150.
The harried consumer will be happy that 50 has been waived off. When in reality he will be paying 50 more than what he was paying at the time when election results were announced.

Trust me I will not be surprised.

Meanwhile can the PDD department please stop arbitrary increase in the electricity tariffs
