Locals hails efforts of forest department officials
Kupwara :- As forest fire is raging around the Jammu and Kashmir, the forest department officials risk their lives and immediately take control of forest fires and prevent it from further spread.
In an incident today, sudden forest fire have engulfed in Co.98/NL at top portion Nunwani beat Kalaroose of North Lolab Range Kamraj Forest Division Kupwara.
“After receiving information regarding fire in Co.98/NL ,I along with entire field staff, FPF staff, labourers and with the assistance of locals proceeded towards spot and succeeded in preventing the spread of fire, Farooq Ahmad Dar Block Forest Officer Kalaroose said.
While talking with Range Officer North Lolab, Parvaiz Bhat said, the fire in Co.98/NL at top portion has been extinguished and is now under control.
Locals of the area hails efforts of the forest department for timely swift action in preventing the spread of fire.
