Handwara, JANUARY 09: To ensure smooth conduct of Republic Day (RD), 2021, function here, the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Handwara ,Nazir Ahmad Mir, today convened a meeting of all concerned officers at Town Hall, Handwara.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC stressed upon the officers to ensure hassle free arrangements for smooth conduct of the said National Event and instructed them to follow the timeline for ensuring arrangements well in advance. He also directed them to follow protocol of COVID-19 strictly and ensure use of masks in the function.
The meeting was informed that main function of the Republic Day will be held at District Police Lines (DPL) Handwara ; where National Flag will be hoisted and the VIP will take salute on the March Past comprising the contingents of JKP, JKAP, lIRP,, CRPF, and BSF
It was also informed that the function will start with Shahnai Vadan at 8 50AM.
On the occasion.the ADC asked R&B Department, Mechanical Engineering and Municipality Handwara to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of the DPL ground. They were also directed to keep manpower available in case of snowfall on both days of rehearsal and main function. While as, PDD & PHE departments were directed to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply. Health department of Handwara was ordered to deploy doctors & paramedics along with Ambulance and first aid.
Security arrangements also discussed in the meeting .
Among others, SSP Handwara, Tehsildars Handwara and other officers from various departments were present on the occasion.
