Kupwara, August 22:Pahari Youth leader and Youngest sarpanch Javid Mir is his statement requested the Central govt as well as LG- led administration of JK to redress the genuine concerns of MGNREGA support staff who are on pen-down.
Javid Mir said that “I support these employees genuine demand of regularization and govt have to regularize MANREGA support staff as these employees are the backbone of rural Dvelopment Department and because of these employees pen down strike people and Department are suffering very badly”.
The Support staff of government flagship programme – MGNREGA, is on pen-down strike from 16th of August onwards, demanding regularization and publication of Committee Report announced by the erstwhile state government in 2017.
Javid Mir in his statement said that these agitated employees have been waiting from last couple of years for their regularization and absorption even as the previous government had assured them of a Committee Report in 2017 to redress their genuine demands.
He said that however even after couple of years, these employees are yet to get regularized even as no Committee Report has been made in public.
Javid Mir said that when I met a staffer he said that “It seems that we have been neglected altogether by the authorities”.
“We have decided to observe this pen-down strike to press for our demands”, the staffer said to me.
He urged the LG-led administration to look into the matter, and take this occasion to appeal the LG-led administration to redress these employees genuine concerns as to alleviate their sufferings.
