Kupwara : Abdul Rashid Mir, also who is also the land owner, has taken recourse to the Srinagar J&K High Court on a long time issue of clearing the way for the residence of influential man from the property land in Lone Harai area of Kralpura, Kupwara.
The High Court issued an order under number 23/9/2020Wp) c (No1419 / 2020cm no3875 / 2020cm no3876/2020 Order issued in which the Revenue Department was notified not to do any tampering with the Khasra number 1818/407/408/410/401 of the disputed land, the Srinagar High Court also sought a reply from the department by October 27, 2020
Meanwhile, Abdul Rashid Mir, owner of land, said that an influential person from the locality grabbed his land illegally tried to build a road for his residence and sought help of Naib Tehsildar to make this illegal grabbing of land as legal.
While the said Naib Tehsildar and Patawari publicly declared that the land owned by the owner of the land is registered. However, the said Naib Tehsildar repeatedly issued notices and summons in the name of petitioner without any reason and compelling him to remove the fence from the owned land. While the land owner was compelled to seek justice by knocking the door of Srinagar, High Court, the High Court issued a notice to the Revenue Department under No. 23/9 / 2020wp (cab) no1419 / 2020cm no3875/2020 saying that not to tamper with the petitioners land until October 27.
On the other hand, Abdul Rashid Mir, the owner of the land, who filed the petition, demanded Rs. 1 million from the Revenue Department as a fine. In this regard, when CNS contacted Advocate Muhammad Umer Mir and Advocate Tariq Ahmed Lone to have their views over the issue. However, they said that the case is being pursued in this regard and the Revenue Department has been asked to reply by October 27 and further attention will be given to follow up the case.(CNS)
