PCCF & HoFF, J&K reviewed the working of field functionaries of the J&K Forest Department on 15th December, 2020 in the Meeting Hall of Van Bhawan, Jammu. During the course of meeting, the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF) reviewed the Physical & Financial progress made by the subordinate offices. PCCF emphasized upon the officers to compile the information relating to the cancellation of illegal entries of forest land in revenue records. He also advised the officers to be in the state of preparedness for implementation of Forest Rights Act, 2006 and the field staff be sensitized to the various provisions of the Act and the Rules made there under particularly with reference to provisioning of records and maps and field verification of claims. PCCF (HoFF) also reiterated the earlier directions to DFOs on strictly complying to sec 4(5) of FRA, 2006 before taking any action against forest dwellers.
He further directed the Conservator of Forests to monitor the booking of expenditure especially under Non-Plan and Plan. The CFs were asked to monitor the progress of marking of timber as per Q and Q norms. PCCF (HoFF) also directed the DFOs to complete the verification of the compartment boundaries on the KMZ files circulated by the PI Division by 31st December, 2020. It was again reiterated that the remarks column in the Google Sheet regarding extraction of trees involved in FCA cases must bring out clearly on where the matter is stuck and who is to be reminded for expediting the same. DFOs were directed to take best use of prevailing weather conditions for fulfilling the target under winter planting as well as under Green J&K Drive 2020.

Balaji (CF). Besides, CF’s (Territorial), CF (Working Plan), Chief Accounts Officer and DFOs (Territorial) attended the meeting (through Offline & Online mode).
