Kupwara, December 04: At around 12 noon, some female protesters suddenly started protesting in front of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara’s office main gate.
The protesters were Pakistani wives of Kashmiris who had returned from Azad Kashmir and other parts of Pakistan under Rehabilitation policy during Omar Abdullah government in 2010.
These women with banners and placards raised slogans against government and demanded that they should be sent back.
“We request governments of Pakistan and India to send us back and provide us travel documents. Government’s rehabilitation policy was a hoax”.
