Not constitution, BJP agenda being followed across country: Mehbooba

‘Centre beating drums on Art 370 abrogation, fails to address grave issues of poverty, others’

Srinagar, Nov 06 (KNO): The former chief minister and PDP chief,  Mehbooba Mufti on Friday said that the government doesn’t follow the constitution but the agenda of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) the country

Addressing party workers in Jammu today,  Mehbooba as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that the incumbent regime in the centre is beating drums on abrogation of Article 370, but fails to provide benefits to the people and eradicate the poverty on the ground.

“Keeping in view of poverty in the country, the government instead of going for a lockdown they should have taken steps that would have suit the poor nation,” she said, adding that on the day of calling for ‘Thali Bajao’, Prime Minister should have informed people to get ready for lockdown so that the poor nation could have prepared themselves for the period.

Mehbooba also said that she has reached Jammu to talk to the people like her father Late Mufti Muhammad Sayeed was doing as the then chief minister.

“Beating drums on abrogation of Article 370 was the only thing the present regime is doing. However, it has failed to bring some respite to the people from poverty,” she said, adding that the special status to J&K was given by Maharaja Hari Singh, but the present regime has demolished the constitution.

PDP chief also stated that the BJP government in centre was following its party agenda rather than country’s constitution—(KNO)
