Dardpora January 17: People’s Conference Chairman and former minister Sajjad Gani Lone Sunday said that he never accepted Jammu and Kashmir as Union Territory.
Addressing a huge gathering Sajad Gani Lone said he has never accepted Jammu and Kashmir as Union Territory. Lone was here on the occasion of joining of former National Conference Zonal youth president and spokesperson district Kupwara, Javid Mir in Peoples Conference.
Sajad Lone said that ” Neither my heart nor my mind has accepted J& K as a union territory. InshaAllah J&K will be a state again”, he said, adding that all his developmental projects which he started during his tenure as minister were pending and the government was yet to start them again.
On this occasion Javid Mir, a sarpanch of his halqa rejoiced on joining Peoples Conference and hoped that he will work for the betterment of party and the Kupwara in general.
“This (PC) is our own party. It is a party of Kupwara, I will InshaAllah strengthen it which in result will prove to be beneficial for our district Kupwara. This party is our symbol”, he said.
Former MLA Kupwara Advocate Bashir Ahmad Dar also addressed the gathering and said that personally he is very happy as educated youth are joining Peoples Conference.
” People like Javid Mir are our asset. We welcome him in our party and I hope this sends a positive message to people aspiring to join politics “.
PC senior leader Advocate Ab Majeed also addressed the gathering.
On this occasion besides senior leaders, newly elected DDC members from PC; Sulaiman Mir, Advocate Masrat and Habibullah beigh were also present.
