Srinagar: Acting on a specific input, Budgam police along with 50 RR army and D/29 CRPF busted a narco Militant module linked with banned Militant outfit JEM in Chadoora area of district Budgam.
06 Militant associates namely-
(1) Mudassir Fayaz r/o Kralpora,(2) name withheld ,(3) Shabir Ganaie r/o Wathoora,(4) Sageer Ahmad poswal r/o Kupwara,(5) Issaq Bhat r/o Shopian, and (6) Arshid Thoker r/o Shopian, have been arrested and following items have been recovered from their possession-
01Chinese pistol ,
01Pistol Magazine,
04 Pistol rounds,
01Hand grenade,
01kg Heroine,
Cash Rs.1,55,000/-
As per initial investigation it has been revealed that this module was working in close connection with Pakistan based Militant handlers and were involved in drug trade, supply of weapons and money to active Militants of proscribed outfit JEM. With their arrest inter connection between drug dealers and terrorists has also been exposed.
In this connection case FIR under relevant provisions of UA(P) act and NDPS act has been registered in PS Chadoora and investigation taken up.
