KUPWARA, DECEMBER 05: Special Secretary, School Education Department, Naseer Ahmad Wani, designated Visiting Officer for Municipal Committee Langate today participated in the My Town My Pride function at Town Hall Langate.
Chairman Municipal Committee Langate, Shah Nawaz Abdullah, CEO Kupwara, Abdul Hameed Fani, EO MC Langate, Imtiyaz ul Haq and other concerned officers attended the function.
Addressing the function, the Special Secretary said that the ambitious programme ‘My Town My Pride’ has been launched to address the issues of the people living in the towns, like back to village 4 was held for rural people. He said during MTMP programme, officers gave detailed awareness about the government schemes to the people living in towns.
He inspected the Stalls established by various departments and interacted with the stall holders.
The Special Secretary kick started plantation drive by planting some plants in the premises in presence of the Chairman MC Langate and other officers.
The Special Secretary distributed Soil Health Cards among the beneficiaries.
A cultural programme was also held at the occasion.
Later, the Special Secretary in the evening visited SDH Langate and distributed Blood Donation Certificates among Asha Workers.
