Kupwara:- Mir Basharat sopkesperson BJP kupwara today urged Lieutenant Governor led administration to announce a special package for the journalists working on the ground.
Mir Basharat in a statement issued to media stated that journalists are our COVID warriors who risk their lives to provide authentic information particularly during the ongoing coronavirus crisis where fake news has become a big challenge.
“We all should stand up to support them and demand J&K administration to announce a special package for them,” he said.
Mir said journalists have provided us with accurate and authentic information during the present crisis.“They are our heroes who are working round the clock to make sure our people are informed as to the deadly virus ricochets through our towns and our families”, he said.
While appealing to Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu led administration to personally look into this matter and announce a special package for the whole fraternity.

Mir also urged Ministry of Information and Broadcasting along with the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) J&K to immediately come to their rescue at this crucial stage.
Entire media fraternity & journalist brigade should be provided PPE kits, face masks, sanitizers, temperature guns, etc for their welfare from the government,” he
