Slain militant was affiliated with Mujahideen Gazwatul Hind, tasked to carry out Fidayeen attack: IGP Kashmir
Srinagar, November 12: Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar on Friday said that the Militant who was killed in a brief gunfight in Bemina area of Srinagar yesterday evening has been identified and was relative of one of the accused in Lethpora attack.
Quoting IGP Kashmir, the official Twitter handle of Kashmir Police Zone wrote, “Militant killed in Srinagar Encounter identified as Aamir Riyaz of Khrew Pulwama affiliated with militant outfit Mujahideen Gazwatul Hind. He was relative of one of the accused of Lethpora Militant Attack and was assigned to carry out fidayeen attack: IGP Kahmir”, reads the tweet.
