- Machhal Cultural Festival was celebrated with great fanfare and enthusiasm at Machhal Sports Ground. All the events of the Machhal Cultural Festival were organised and conducted by the villagers with the support of Indian Army.
- General officer Commanding, Vajra Division was the chief guest for the Machhal Cultural Festival. In addition, many dignitaries from army and civil administration were also in attendance for the entire event. The event commenced with the unveiling of Foundation stone of the Machhal Stadium by the village representatives. Thereafter, NCC Cadets of the Machhal Bowl enthralled everyone with their synchronised march past and received standing ovation from the entire gathering. The final constituted many cultural events to including dance performances by school children, local troupe and local singing sensation Abid Ali.
- The other highlights Gatka Dance by 12 SIKH LI and Pipe Band display by troops of Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre.
- The performance of all the artists amazed all present for the event and made them dance to their musical numbers.
- To add on to the beauty of the mela, number of games were organised for the spectators which included Jalebi Race, Lemon Race, Needle Race & Thread Race, Sack Race and Musical Chair. People of Machhal Bowl enjoyed each and every event and participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
- At the end, all the participants of the games and cultural events were felicitated with awards and lunch was organised for the entire village at the Machhal ground.
