Poonch, Dec 2 : Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, made a compassionate visit to Poonch today, where he extended his heartfelt condolences to Dr. Shenaz Ganai on the sad demise of her mother. Dr. Ganai, a former Member of the Legislative Council, recently mourned the loss of her mother, who was also the mother-in-law of Mir Junaid, President of the Jammu Kashmir Workers Party (JKWP).
During his visit, LG Sinha empathetically conveyed his sympathies to both the Ganai family and Mir Junaid. He offered prayers for the soul of the departed and expressed his solidarity with the family in these trying times. The Lieutenant Governor emphasized his support for the family, stating his commitment to stand with them in their hour of grief, offering his deepest condolences and prayers.
It is noteworthy that the late Hanifa Ganai, mother of Dr. Shenaz Ganai, was the wife of the late Khwaja Ghulam Ahmed Ganai, a former Minister from Poonch. She passed away peacefully on October 24, 2023.
