In a first of its kind , District Police Kupwara organised two days Atheletic event for Specially Abled (DIVYANG) persons. The event was inaugrated by SSP Kupwara Shri Shriram Ambarkar-IPS at Higher Secondary School kupwara. Speaking on the occasion, he elaborated the importance of such events.
On the inaugural day of this two Day’s sports event 75 Specially abled Children (50 Boys and 25 Girls) participated in 09 different activities under different categories i.e
Senior, Juniour and Sub-juniour.
The whole event is factored into Track events, Field events and Recreational events.
The cricket Match scheduled for 15th October(Concluding Day) is going to be a thrilling contest.
The whole event is aimed to provide a platform for these specially abled persons to display their talent , channelise their energies in positive ways and to boost their confidence and sporting skills.
On the occasion ASP Kupwara Afroz ahmad, Dysp Hqr Mudasser tramboo, DySP DAR kupwara Kupwara Sarfaraz bashir, inespector waseem budoo, inspector Zahoor wani were also present.*
