DIG NKR inaugurated the event
Kupwara,Oct 20: Kupwara Police Premier T-20 Knockout Cricket Tournament 2020 organized by Kupwara Police under Civic action programme, started today. DIG NKR Shri Mohammad Sulaiman Chowdary-IPS inaugurated the event.
Inaugural match was played between Victoria XI VS City Club Kupwara at Sports stadium Galzoo Kupwara.
SSP Kupwara Shri Shriram Ambarkar -IPS, jurisdictional Army Officers, CRPF and other senior Police officers were also present on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, DIG NKR lauded the initiative of Kupwara Police for organizing such tournament in the District, with the objective to provide an opportunity to the youth of the district so that they can exhibit their talent and skills.
SSP Kupwara, Shri Shriram Ambarkar-IPS while speaking on the occasion thanked DIG NKR for gracing the opening ceremony and encouraging the youth of the district, as this gesture will go a long way in nurturing the sports activities in the district.
