Kupwara: In a major success on anti narcotic front, Jammu and Kashmir police in Kashmir’s Kupwara district apprehended a notorious narcotic peddler recovering consignment of Brown sugar from his possession.
In an official statement, police said that Kupwara Police today acting upon an input about the peddling of narcotics by some peddlers in Hatmulla area of Kupwara District laid a naka infront of Police Post, Hatmulla and during checking of vehicles, one individual namely Gulzar Ahmed Baba @ Gulzar Malla son of Wali Mohd Baba resident of Kawari, Lederwan was intercepted.
The said man was travelling in car JK05C-DL1ZA -2804 and 48 grams of Brown Sugar was recovered during frisking. In this regard a case FIR no. 373/21, u/sec 8/21 NDPS dated 22/11/2021 has been registered in PS Kupwara and investigation has been taken up. These efforts of Kupwara Police are widely hailed by the general public.
