Girls brought laurels to Kupwara by clinching Gold Medal in Under-14 category in 13th Inter District Rugby 7’s Championship 2021 held at SK Stadium Bandipora, from 30th August to 1st September.
The Kupwara Rugby Association fielded four teams in the Championship. All the mens teams, Senior Men, U-20, U-14 also made the District proud wherein all three men’s teams won Bronze Medal.
The head coach and secretary of Kupwara Rugby Association Aadil Manzoor had trained the teams for this championship. Indian Army on 29th August had met all the players and had promised to support the sport. Now that the teams are back to Kupwara, the teams will undergo sustained training with better gears.
